I am currently studying for my GCSEs (which I am predicted - and hope to achieve- all A*s and As in), and have held various positions of responsibility within my school over the past four years. I have been Form Rep multiple times, as well as representing my form on the School Council. In addition to this, I have also been Charity Rep, helping my school raise money for various charities such as the Chernobyl Children's Life Line and Julia's House. I have also been a part of my school's 'Earthwatch' group, helping my school achieve the Eco-Schools Bronze Award. My involvement in these activities gained me an award for Community Service from my school last year.
My interest in politics and membership of the Liberal Democrat party (although I've recently defected to Labour) led me to do a week's work placement in the constituency office of Annette Brooke MP, last year, and I had the opportunity to travel to the Houses of Parliament with her to work in her Parliamentary office there.
I have received certificates in various subjects, such as a Bronze Certificate in the UK Junior Mathematical Challenge, many certificates in different languages, participation in Interschools Science Competitions certificates, as well as certificates for participating in Enterprise & Skills' Hold the Front Page programme and Enterprise UK's Make Your Mark programme.

Whilst I am a very ambitious person, I don't think I have many ambitions. I'd like to go to university and study politics, philosophy, or history, and then maybe go into a career in law or politics. I think ultimately, no matter how cliche it may be, I think I just want to be happy and to make a difference in the world.
Too many people seem to believe that the Earth is ours to destroy, when really in doing that all we do is destroy ourselves. We need to preserve and protect the environment and keep it beautiful for future generations.
