My biggest achievements in life come from what I have done to help others and raise money for charity. I have sang at big events, raising money for charities such as 'Children in Need', 'Wish upon a star' and help run, as well as performed at the 'Help the Heroes' summer event in Nottingham for 3 years running. I set up a mini music festival with my uncle for the 'Air Ambulance' charity, inviting local bands to play raising over 500 pounds on the day. I also have raised nearly a thousand pounds for Cancer Research UK with monthly payments and running the 'Race for life' twice.
Being a performer I have many achievements, singing on the biggest stages in the country including Wembley Arena, The O2 Arena and Nottingham Arena. I also made it to the final 6 bands, at the 'judges houses' stage of The X Factor 2012, an extremely rewarding experience.
In my studies I have been so fortunate to have had a good education and be proud of my grades, receiving 9 A's and 3 B's at GCSE, 2 A's and 1 B at A level and double distinctions in both diploma and higher Diploma in Music performance. I have recently graduated from the Academy Of contemporary Music with a FIRST class honors bachelor degree in music.
Having grown up performing, I am a talented singer and music composer and arranger as well being a trained actor and dancer. I have a huge passion for the arts and being on stage whether performing or in a pageant is a place where I feel truly confident .
I began dancing at the age of 3, training in ballet, tap, modern theatre, street dance and acrobatics. I then went on to train in acting and singing at the AGF casting agency in Nottingham, with whom I performed in many UK tours and performances at the Theatre Royal Nottingham, Royal concert Hall and The Arts Theatre, taking part in my first professional performance at the age of 7.
I have been a part of the music industry since the age of 15, being involved in numerous projects resulting in my feature with girlband XYRA on the ITV's X factor
I have a huge passion for fitness and nutrition. My sponsors ‘Twist Drinks’ and ‘Predacore help to support me in my development, pushing me to become fit and healthy in body and mind to ensure I can put 110% into everything I do. I love being outdoors whether it be running, camping and hiking, yoga, you name it- i love it! Having a large garden in Nottingham, I grew up enjoying the beauty it brings and watching plants being nurtured to their full potential, to bring a sense of accomplishment when able to eat home grown fruit and vegetables.
I have a huge desire to help out local charities, using my personal talents to help organize events and raise money. I became a 'Buddy' to children at my local school, which offered me the opportunity to work with children who are being bullied and are too afraid to speak up about it to friends, families and teachers. As I suffered with a similar experience at school I can help offer advice and reassurance.
And last but certainly not least; pageants, having struggled with bullying in the past, pageants have helped build my confidence, and allow me to inspire and challenge others to follow their dreams, as I have mine. I am so proud to be representing Nottinghamshire in Miss Earth UK, a pageant I have been so interested in and always wanted to be a part of. Not only can I learn more about small ways we can help the environment but I can be an ambassador and educate others to work together to make a difference.
My ambition is to enjoy life. I would love to perform for a living, own my own business and inspire others. I aim to start my own charity, supporting bully victims in schools who are too afraid to speak up, offering support and counseling as well as organizing fun events and activities for them to enjoy. I wish to educate others on the ever growing problems of air pollution, one of the largest problems in the UK.
My grandfather recently passed away from emphysema and bronchitis, both illnesses that are directly affected by air pollution. Because of this, I have a personal passion to educate and improve on this to stop others having to suffer.
On the grand scale of things I am merely one individual who alone is unable to make any significant difference to improving worldwide environmental issues. However, even the smallest of us when led in the right direction can pull together to create a successful following. Recycling, walking when it would have been easier to drive, and supporting charities who aim to make a difference. I believe that I have the inspirational & motivational qualities of a leader to embrace any challenge & lead people in the right direction. Similar to a colony of ants, alone the tiny creatures are vulnerable & weak, yet together as a colony they are one of the most structured, well organised & productive units in the natural world.
